The year is drawing to an end. About a week ago a plan finally materialized in my mind. I had been longing to try and slip away for some part of the winter but where? How? What would I do? Friends of mine have been visiting south america and have encouraged me to link up with them. I have long wanted to see the heights of Machu Picchu and survey the resurgence of leftist movements in the south.
